Mizuno JPX923 Irons (5 Models)

NEW!  JPX923 Tour, JPX923 Forged, JPX923 Hot Metal, JPX923 Hot Metal PRO, and Hot Metal HL Irons.   5 different iron models with 3 of the 5 models in Left Hand (HM, HM Pro, and Forged).

Mizuno’s JPX923 irons are engineered for custom performance.  Five unique iron models created from three specific metals – based on Swing DNA data from over 350,000 real golfers.

The expanded head options combine with one of over 50 custom shafts for specific trajectory, ball speed and ease of use. This creates options for elite tour players, slow swinging amateurs and every player in between.

Three metals. Five options. All distinctively Mizuno.

“The new JPX923 series was planned out with Mizuno’s custom ethos at its core.  We already offer more than 50 unique shafts within our custom program, by expanding to five iron models, there’s an ideal combination for every type of player.” David Llewellyn – Director of R&D.

INTRODUCING the JPX 923 FORGED Iron.  The new Mizuno JPX923 Forged Irons are grain flow forged from Chromoly 4120, Mizuno’s strongest full-body forging material.  In addition to providing amazing feel, Chromoly 4120 enabled Mizuno engineers to craft the thinnest face in the company’s legendary forging history.

A wider, more significant, milled Micro-Slot causes the extremely thin face to flex and rebound, creating a trampoline-like effect that results in blistering ball speeds and distance.  In fact, the 923 represents the highest COR, the measurement used to determine how fast a ball reflects off a golf club’s face, in a forged Mizuno iron to date.

Mizuno JPX923 Forged Irons Feature:

  • Grain Flow Forged HD from Chromoly 4120 in Japan for unsurpassed Mizuno feel
  • Strongest full-body forging material allows for the thinnest face in Mizuno history 2.2mm.
  • Micro-Slot back milling is wider, creating a larger rebound area that combines with the face for the highest ball speeds in 1-piece Mizuno forged iron to date.
  • Reinforced V-Chassis with additional perimeter weighting and toe bias for stability and forgiveness on off-center strikes.
  • Thinner topline throughout the entire set and 7-PW have a slightly more compact blade length.
  • Durable, non-reflective chrome plated finish reduces glare.
Type: MIDSIZE CAVITY.  Suitable for:  Pro to MID HCP Player. RH and LH.

Construction: One-piece Grain Flow Forged.

Available in #4 thru 9, PW, GW.  Call/text 403-528-7007 or email bobsailergolf@shaw.ca for pricing.

INTRODUCING the JPX 923 Hot Metel PRO Iron. The new Mizuno JPX 923 Hot Metal Pro Irons are crafted from Chromoly 4335, which is 35% stronger than the Chromoly 4140M used in the previous generation, JPX921 Irons.  Chromoly 4335 is so durable that it’s used in landing gear, transmission gears, and military aircrafts.

This new, extremely tough material allowed Mizuno’s engineers to reduce face thickness by 8%, resulting in the thinnest face in JPX history.  The thinner, hotter face generates explosive ball speeds that toe the boundary of what the USGA legally allows.

Additionally, the previously mentioned speed and distance are available across a much larger area of the face.  The 923’s more prominent sweet spot works harmoniously with the iron’s revolutionary perimeter-weighted design, giving rise to prodigious forgiveness.

In terms of the 923 Hot Metal family, the Pro Irons have more of a player’s look with a shorter blade length and a thinner topline.

Mizuno JPX 923 Hot Metal Pro Irons Feature:

  • Shorter blade length and thinner topline than standard Hot Metal.
  • New Chromoly 4335 is 35% stronger, which allows for an 8% reduction in face thickness while maintaining hosel bendability.
  • Thinnest face in JPX history produces maximum ball speed across a large area of the face.
  • Long irons have a deep, low CG for a higher launch, while middle to short irons gradually raise CG for more control.
  • Reinforced cavity frame creates a more solid impact sound.
  • GW & SW have a wedge-specific design and the same high-spin, milled quad-cut grooves as Mizuno’s tour wedges.
Construction:  ONE PIECE NICKEL CHROMOLOY CAVITY.

Head Length:  80.7MM

INTRODUCING the JPX923 Hot Metal HL IronNew to the JPX lineup, Mizuno JPX923 Hot Metal HL Irons were created to address the issue of increasingly strong lofted irons across the industry.  For some golfers, typically those with a slower swing speed, shots struck with lower lofted clubs don’t produce enough spin and thus never reach their optimal apex.  Consequently, distance suffers, and the ball will struggle to hold the green.  HL, or “High Launch”, features a lower, deeper center of gravity and weaker lofts that yield a high, easy launch.  Despite this new design, HL Irons retain the same blade length and nearly the same size topline as standard Hot Metal.

Like its siblings, Hot Metal HL Irons are crafted from Chromoly 4335, which is 35% stronger than the Chromoly 4140M used in the previous generation, JPX921 Irons.

Mizuno JPX Hot Metal HL Irons Feature:

  • Low, deep center of gravity quickly and easily launches the ball high.
  • Super game-improvement performance with the same blade length and topline as standard Hot Metal.
  • New Chromoly 4335 is 35% stronger, which allows for an 8% reduction in face thickness while maintaining hosel bendability.
  • Thinnest face in JPX history produces maximum ball speed across a large area of the face.

Mizuno’s Swing DNA System records 40 unique data points from more than 175,000 golfers every year – providing the basis for every JPX iron project.
Mizuno Shaft Optimizer

“We’re constantly evolving the JPX series based on more than 175,000 unique swings we capture every year on the Mizuno Shaft Optimizer. Recently we’re seeing an increase in the number of players with slightly slower swing speeds being fitted – and a trend to more shaft lean. Hence a slight increase in bounce angles through all the models and the introduction of the Hot Metal High Launch”.  Bill Price – Director of Fitting
